COMMUNITY IMPACT

Your United Way investment, combined with the investments of others, has the power to bring about changes that matter in our community.

The Wyoming County United Way has always worked hard to help people in need and improve lives of those in the community. Our methods to make change have always been effective; however, the needs still exist and in some cases are growing. It is time to look at how we can do things differently. Following the lead of United Way Worldwide and many local United Ways across the country, WCUW began researching the Community Impact Model.

The concept of Community Impact is aimed at coordinating resources to create lasting change in a community. Instead of looking just at the needs of people being served, we need to look at the larger community issues. This model is much bigger than United Way’s role in the community. It’s about identifying the issues and bringing the right people to the table to find a solution.
