The Wyoming County United Way will bring its 26th Annual Duck Derby to Tunkhannock Founders’ Day festivities on June 22, 2019. Proceeds from the Duck Derby help to fund more than 21 local agencies. Every year the Duck Derby is a fun family event which is very important to the United Way’s annual campaign.
The Wyoming County United Way has been hosting the Duck Derby for a long time and the agencies funded are counting on it to be another successful event. The culmination of the big event happens at 3 p.m. during Founders’ Day activities in Tunkhannock.
Wyoming County United Way relies on the generosity of area businesses to provide prizes for the event. Thanks to those businesses, there is more than $3,000 in prizes. Some of the prizes include: a Flat Screen TV donated by Stone House Investment Management LLC, Keurig Coffee Maker donated by Williams, one-year of free breakfast for one person at the Yearbook Diner, a Yeti Cooler donated by Blue Star Preschool, baskets of Procter & Gamble products donated by P&G, other themed gift baskets, gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses, Dietrich Theater gift bags, framed art donated by Framesmith, and much more.
